Small Planets Expo

Aaaand... we're back.  Josie & Ben now live in the  same state (OF ANARCHY... BWAAAA) and so they can write and record music a)  more frequently (more songs) and b) more slowly (better songs).  We also have better equipment.  Here's a breakdown of what we used before:

a) An old computer
b) A cheap computer pencil microphone (you know.. 8 bucks at Best Buy).
c) A small, busted acoustic guitar

NOW, we have:

a) A laptop
b) A still cheap but better Shure SM58 microphone and USB mixer
c) A small, busted acoustic guitar
d) A banjo
e) A ukulele
f) An electric harmonium
g) Ableton

Pretty exciting.  Also we have recorded an EP to go along with Josie's excellent comic "In Which I Think About Drowning".  We sold (gave it away) it at this year's Small Press Expo and we also have it available to download in the songs section.  And also this site will maybe be looking slightly better soonishly.  Stay tuned!

Actual News!

Howdy!  This is the Small Planets webpage (we're poor so it's also  part of New Monkeys).  I have finally decided to make a separate section for the band! This is exciting.  Here is where there will be news (which will be infrequent) but today I have COOL NEWS!  James Kochalka of... er.. James Kochalka (people may know him from The Sketchbook Diaries, Monkey vs. Robot, or... one of my favorite comic artists) has linked us and said nice things (well, one nice thing) about us on his website:  http://www.americanelf.com   THIS IS VERY EXCITING TO ME AND JOSIE as we love his work dearly!  Woo hoo thanks!

XOXO
